Weekend of 5/22
Oh snap, son.
This is happening this weekend, and I can’t be more excited about it. Will John Connor save the day? Will Arnold make a cameo? Has the director of Charlie’s Angels earned enough clout yet to have the general public respectfully refer to him by his fraternity nickname? We shall see.
Also, a point I want to touch on. I know this is the Funtime Summer Fun Film/Flick Fest, and all I’ve done so far have really just been flicks. State of Play wants to be a film, but let’s not kid ourselves here, that was a flick for the 45+ crowd. So this weekend, I promise that I will actually get out to see a film. I’m planning on seeing Outrage this Saturday, probably at 5:10 or 7:30, and anyone who reads this is welcome to join me.
Also on the slate for this weekend, and earning their Sean’s Movie-Viewing Schedule is Far Too Ambitious to Be Realistic awards are The Girlfriend Experience and The Mutant Chronicles. I’ll try to get out to them, but I can almost guarantee I won’t.
With that, I’d like to introduce a new feature to the Fest: Guest Reviews! There’s no way I can watch all these movies this summer, so if you make it to one I didn’t, shoot me an email, write up a review, and I’ll put it up here for all of my 12 friends who read this to enjoy, along with a plug for your website/blog/Tweeterpage. You’ll get 12 extra hits at least 10 extra hits, I guarantee it.
